New nutrition guidelines:
Breakdown of government food subsidies:
As PCRM points out, maybe they should match up a little more?
The USDA even spells out their essential point:
“Key Consumer Message: Make half your plate fruits and vegetables.”
Hmmm, but when I look at the subsidies pie chart, something is amiss!
The Meatless Monday Unicorn is back to remind the omnis that tomorrow is the big MM! Meatless Monday Unicorn is getting cranky.
We all made the decision to go vegan sometime ago and we probably had good reasons, because all us vegans are the greatest best. However, when someone questions your reasons, it can be hard to remember exactly why! Especially if someone is trying to “get your goat” (lolz) or be…

I have teacher arms.
They wiggle when I’m writing on the dry-erase board.

The 30-Day Shred is totally giving me visible (to me, maybe not to you) cut-to-the-shoulder muscles (I know nothing about muscles. My pilates instructor friend tells me these are “delts” which I think is just her sorority name and she’s April-fooling me early.)
But Jillian is not getting rid of the jiggle. Maybe it has to do with too many of these:

Operation Waste-no-food-before-I-move included these Annie’s shells n cheese i found hiding behind napkins from 1972 — which I thought would be delicious because they are “real” cheese and I’ve been on the vegan train, but they were actually bland and not yummy at all… 8 points for half the package and 1 point for the olive oil I used on the awesomely amazing tangy lemony salty asparagus. Mmmm.
So our WW leader, Lorraine, who is adorable and 65+ and has better legs than I ever will have (and also a pretty obvs wig, but that’s too catty to mention) keeps giving us the “don’t deprive yourselves” spiel. She gave it on Friday, for about the fourth time. Then this happened:
Corona Light x a million
Amaaaazing NY style pizza
Strawberry ice cream in a cone
Vegan french toast
… oops.
And then I didn’t want the weekend to end, so this happened:
Homemade hummus
Vegan chocolate chip cookies.
OMG. Oops.
